CISO Conference 2024 - Capture The Flags RULES

~# Registration: 23.08.2024 - 12.09.2024, 18:00 - at https://ctfarena.com/register , only people registered on CISO Conference can participate in CTF.
~# The CTF will take place on 17th of September 2024, starting 13:15 and running until 14:45 (1:30h) on-site at Amsterdam, HBP Haarlerbergweg 13-15, at Katowice ul.Zabrska 19 Gravity Point. and ONLINE

REGISTRATION:
~# Please use the following pattern during the registration on ctfarena.com/register:
yournick_ONSITEPL for colleagues joining from Katowice and yournick_ONSITENL for colleagues joining from HBP office or yournick_ONLINE
~# After the registration stage, all users will be divided into teams, in which one person will be designated as the team captain. Each user's nickname will be changed according to the below pattern
For normal users:
TEAMNAME_yournick
For captains only:
TEAMNAME_C_yournick
~# Only one person from the team will be randomly selected as team captain.
~# Only captain of the team can write down flags on the CTF portal which will be counted for the general classification.
Please do not provide your TEAMNAME during registration, the name change will be carried out by the CTF Arena team.

GENERAL RULES:
~# The main task for each challenge is to recover a special string called the flag (and provide it on the website - https://ctfarena.com/)

Flag format: the exact format of the flag will be given in the description of each task

~# Overall score from all challenges is available on https://ctfarena.com/scores
~# We recommend to use Kali Linux during the contest as it contains a lot of built-in tools helpful during CTF.
~# Each challenge has a different score depending on the difficulty level
~# Scores for each team will be calculated based only on the captain's score
~# The team that has scored the most points or finishes all tasks first – wins CISO CTF 2024. In case the score is equal, the first team to reach the score is considered as the winner.
~# Write-up of all targets will be available on CTF webportal (https://ctfarena.com/content?show=writeups) after the end of the contest.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES:
~# Attacking the scoreboard of ctfarena.com;
~# Any activities or actions that would interfere, obstruct, or disturb other teams, participants, and event organizers;
~# Spying on other teams, participants, and event organizers;
~# Providing hints, clues, or answers to participants other than your own team members;
~# Seeking or receiving hints, clues, or answers from participants other than your own team members – a hint or a clue provided by event organizers to all participants would be acceptable;
~# Participating in multiple teams;
~# Any attacks on the network and/or systems outside the scope.
